Working with .ai isn’t without its quirks. Translating the Regency aesthetic sometimes feels like decoding a new language. Details like the empire line dress often don’t render as intended. And phrases like “a ribbon tied just under the bust,” meant purely in a historical sense, can trigger moderation as though there’s something unintended. At times, I’m following the AI’s lead as much as it follows mine. I bring my experience, but the .ai’s unexpected interpretations often add new layers that shift the creative direction. AI is an intelligence that feels alien, to enrich Austen’s story with a fresh perspective is surreal. I wonder what Jane Austen would make of this unexpected collaboration.
